A tense thriller.  A sinister con-man and two ex-convicts have traced the location of a mysterious doll, which they are much interested in, to the Greenwich Village apartment of Sam Hendrix and his blind wife, Susy.  Sam had been persuaded by a strange woman to transport the doll across the Canadian border.  When the woman is murdered the situation becomes urgent.  Through a cleverly constructed deception, the criminals convince Susy that the police have implicated Sam in the murder.  Susy figures out she is the victim of a bizarre charade.  She knows the only way to play fair is by her rules and so she waits until dark to level the playing field. Wait Until Dark was first presented at the Ethel Barrymore Theater in New York City on February 2, 1966. Starring were two unknown actors at the time, Lee Remick and Robert Duvall.
